ドラムライトというオクラホマ州の小さな町です。
町の中心は大きな丘の上にあるので見晴らしがとても良い。
Drumwright, Oklahoma. It is a small town, and the downtown area is located on a hill. So, we had a great view.
僕が担当するのは2つビルを挟んで南側の壁。車にショットガンハウスと呼ばれる家。それに昔の車。
There were two massive walls on the north and south sides. I was painting on a section of the south wall, and my job was to paint a car and shotgun houses.
他の画家の人たちも加わって色々と付け足し、こちらのセクションは完成です。
We had 4-5 painters collaborated together.

小さな町の良いところは、そのホスピタリティーの良さ。昼食も夕食もいろんな人たちに御馳走になります。町がかりのプロジェクトなので、道行く人も立ち止まり見物。
壁画の仕事が無ければまず訪れないだろうという小さな町。こうしていろんな出会いを体験できるのは幸せなことです。
The best thing about visiting small towns and cities in Oklahoma is its people and their generosity. They have been so friendly and kind. This type of mural project is typically a community project. So, many people usually stop by and watch while we work, as well as bring us drinks and food.
If it were not for the mural project, I would have not even thought about visiting those small towns and cities. I am very thankful, and I always enjoy so much for meeting with people and for their commitment to keeping the town arrive with art!
